Description:
By being introduced to the principal methodological approaches to studying literature and acquiring the basic concepts of literary theory and its closely related disciplines, students are enabled to independently apply them when analysing literary works. The historical overview of literary theories and schools, with the emphasis on the Italian literary theory and criticism, helps students to develop the critical, interdisciplinary approach to the work of literature. Furthermore, through reading and the analysis of the texts in Italian, students increase their linguistic competences and expand their vocabulary
