General information about the programme
The Croatian Language and Literature Department constituted the core of the newly founded University of Split's Department of Humanities in 2001, which subsequently expanded into the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2005. A great number of students have since completed the Croatian language and literature programme with one of two specializations (teaching and cultural module) at the Master's level.
Present experience in the implementation of the Humanities programme in Split has revealed its social, academic and cultural justifiability and a great interest of high school students who choose to continue their studies at our Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Our study programme is based on relevant and current research. Course content and modes of course implementation are designed to foster students' engagement, and increase their critical analysis and creativity.
The Croatian Language and Literature programme consists of both a three-year undergraduate programme and a two-year graduate programme.
